Training On An Empty Stomach

IS IT OK TO TRAIN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH? Since fasting became trendy, lifters and endurance athletes alike have been experimenting with fast related workouts. The results and the research have been quite mixed.

Some people feel more alert training without food in their system, while others feel they have less energy than usual. The effect that fasted training has on muscle is also controversial.

There was a study in 2010 found that people who lifted weights on an empty stomach then consumed a blend of protein, carbs, and leucine experienced a greater muscle building response than those who ate a carbohydrate rich breakfast first.

If aerobic exercise is your thing, the research is a little more promising, indicating that fasters can burn more fat during workouts, although this may this may not be ideal for athletes looking to compete in long, strenuous races that demand sustained energy for the long haul.

So give this a try it wont hurt just something new to tryout.
