One of the biggest failings of most americans is a diet that is too low in fiber. Of course you can address this problem by increasing the amount of fiber from the foods you eat. But you can also up your fiber intake by adding a supplemental form. Psyllium husk is one of the best sources of soluble fiber, the form that in liquid, slowing the absortption of calories into your system. Its also great for reducing insulin release. For best results take 2-5 grams of psyllium husk powder or capsules at times of the day when you are trying to control carb response especially with large meals and late night snacks.
